    Attorney Gordon Murray is a 1978 graduate of Miami Carol City Senior High School.  After winning the Golden Drum Award as a high school senior, he attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics and Public Administration in 1982.  Attorney Murray attended the University of Miami School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1985.   
 

    Attorney Murray was an Assistant State Attorney for Monroe and Miami-Dade County from 1986 until 1993. During his tenure he took close to 100 jury trials to verdict.  As a defense attorney, he successfully represented Veronica Temple in the case of State of Florida v. Veronica Temple, which was televised nationally on Court TV.

 

     Attorney Murray has served as a General Magistrate in the Family Division and as a Civil Traffic Hearing Officer in the Criminal Division of the 11th Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade County Florida. 

   

     Attorney Murray is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Southern of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida , the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. 

     

 

 

     Attorney Gordon Murray is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Haitian Lawyers Association, and the Women's History Coalition of Miami-Dade County, Inc.

 

     Attorney Murray holds an Educator's Certificate issued by The School Board of Miami Dade County, FL .  He has instructed at Miami-Dade College, Florida Keys Community College and Miami-Dade County Public Schools.     

 
 
    
     Gordon Murray has given tirelessly to his community and has been recognized for his community service by the Head Start Program of Miami-Dade County, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the 5000 Role Model of Excellence Program.
 
   Attorney Murray has also been recognized for his pro bono service by the Dade County Bar Associaton,  the Cuban American Bar Association, The Women History Coalition, Orchestra Miami and the Mental Health Association of Dade County.  In fact, Attorney Murray was honored with the Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award in 2010.
